The assembly raises and lowers the deflector to direct snow blowing from the chute. Part includes 3 pieces - the metal plate with selector lever engraved with 25-1468, drive cable marked 587030601 and locking clip marked 25-1469.
Added to craftsman 944.523041 that originally had no deflector control. Cut out lever slot in plastic, bolted in factory provided location and added control knob. Works great.
